Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the local organizers and ESCMID, it is our great pleasure to welcome you to the ESCMID Workshop “Diagnosis and Therapy of Fungal Diseases: Personalised Mycology”, taking place on 15–16 May 2026 in Belgrade, Serbia, street Kraljice Natalije 3 (see map). We are delighted to host you in Belgrade, one of Southeast Europe’s most vibrant academic and cultural centers for this important educational event.

This workshop brings together leading experts and participants from across Europe and region, with the shared goal of advancing knowledge and clinical practice in the field of personalized medical mycology. Through a combination of lectures, case discussions, and interactive sessions, the programme is designed to provide practical tools for improving the prediction, prevention and personalization in medical care of fungal infections, particularly in high-risk patients and in resource-limited settings. The course emphasizes modern approaches aligned with the principles of personalized medicine, including prediction, prevention, participation, and patient-centered care. Participants will also have the opportunity to engage with innovative tools and exchange experiences with colleagues from diverse professional clinical backgrounds.
