Diagnosis and Therapy of Fungal Diseases DTFD – Workshop Personalized Mycology

This course brings together regional experts, particularly from resource-limited settings, to address gaps in fungal diagnostics and treatment. Focusing on accessibility, accuracy, and the principles of P4 Mycology—prediction, prevention, participation, and personalization—the programme will provide practical tools for early diagnosis, appropriate patient selection, and evidence-based management. Through hands-on activities, case discussions, and use of the FungalCaseFinder mobile app, participants will learn to improve diagnosis and treatment of selected fungal infections, including those affecting high-risk patients.
This course is especially useful for participants from low-income countries, where more then one-third of the population suffers from superficial fungal infections, which are often underdiagnosed and inadequately treated.

Intended audience: ID Physicians, Medical Microbiologists, Dermatologists, Gynecologists, Clinical Pharmacists, ICU physicians, Hematologists, Critical Care MD, Pediatricians, Neonatologists, Epidemiologists, Specialist Nurses, Postdoctoral researchers, Scientists from academia or industry, students.

Course objectives: At the end of the course, the participants will be able to understand the basics and needs for personalization in medical mycology, and how to use the integrative platform of P4 mycology concept.

EACCME accreditation: each participant can only receive the number of credits according to actual participation
